‘I am Black. I drive a Mercedes-Benz. I experience racism every day,” Montrealer Kendrick McRae told a group of about 50 people assembled Sunday at Kent Park for a demonstration about racial profiling and systemic racism.
McRae was stopped and arrested one evening in March 2017 by two Montreal police officers as he waited in his car for a friend. “I knew they were stopping me to profile me,” he said.
