Judge clears RCMP breath technician accused of impaired driving

Despite evidence from two fellow officers who believed she was intoxicated, an Alberta RCMP breath technician has been cleared of an impaired-driving charge.

In a written ruling posted online, provincial court Judge Jasmine Sihra found the evidence against Cpl. Anita Doktor fell short of proving her guilt.

Sihra said videotaped footage of Doktor at the High Prairie RCMP detachment administering a breath test to an impaired-driving suspect disputed suggestions by two fellow officers she was having co-ordination difficulties.
