A Durham region police officer is facing multiple charges after he allegedly shot a Toronto man who was under surveillance by police last fall.

Ontario’s police watchdog, the Special Investigations Unit (SIU), announced Thursday it has charged Durham Det.-Const. Colin Goodwin following the non-fatal shooting of an unnamed 21-year-old in September 2017.
