A former Alberta RCMP officer will spend two months in jail for one count of sexual assault and two counts of breach of trust.

Elliot Teed was charged after a traffic stop just outside Bow Island, Alta., on Feb. 12, 2015.

He was sentenced in a Medicine Hat courtroom on Wednesday morning after a five-day, judge-only trial.
